The Vegaians

Racial Name: Vegai'rela Vegaians are a proud, ancient race, resembling birds in their outward appearance. They do not have physical wings however, so they utilize masna energy to generate temporary wings for flight. These magically-produced wings usually reflect the Vegaian's personality in their appearance, through colour, shape, size, or some combination of. Beings of almost pure masna energy, Vegaians are masters of magic, using it in their everyday lives, sometimes unconsciously. At the heart of every Vegaian is a crystal of "pure" masna, which does not normally exist in the world. Pure masna is without elemental bias, and is incredibly powerful, but unstable. Vegaians must be careful to keep their energies in check at all times, lest their power run out of control and destroy them. |

Bukanaga Age: Unknown, estimated at 100 000 cycles Bukanaga, or Bukan for short, is one of the handful of 'original' Vegaians, born when magic first became powerful enough to resolve into solid form. Vegaians are embodiments of raw magical energy, and as such are practically ageless. Therefore, Bukan looks the same as he did eons ago. Unfortunately, Bukan's extreme age does not automatically mean that he is mature. Most of the time, he is an arrogant, irreverent joker, but when the situation calls for it he can switch to a no-nonsense, militaristic personality, sometimes without warning or explanation. This serves him well in battle, enabling him to surprise the enemy and also to provide a strong sense of leadership for his allies. Like most Vegaians, Bukan is tight-lipped about his past, particularly how old he actually is. Therefore, he is probably one of the only people on Laratia who know how many cycles he's seen. |
