One of Chuck's closest friends at Salston High, Carl is one of the few who know about the Norizo alter-ego. Carl is always offering advice and is a critic, but he's usually right. Among his friends, he's taken on the role of 'referee', attempting to diffuse fights before they start. He's earned himself the nickname "Monkey", partly from his tendency to be something of a 'yes-man'.
